Grand Canyon Estates is located within the boundaries of
Coconino County, Arizona’s largest county and the United
State’s second largest county. The majority of this land is
owned by the government, and is located in the central part of
Northern Arizona.

Visitors to Coconino County will be bombarded with attractions.
The most popular and impressive is the Grand Canyon National
Park. The park is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It is a
land of time. The layers in the canyon walls symbolize the
passage of time. Hikers find this park to be one of the best
places to head down a trail. Sunset Crater National Monument and
Wupatki National Monument are situated close to each other.
These monuments hold the ruins of Indian cultures from long ago.
The Navajo National Monument includes the best-preserved ruins
from the Anasazi culture.
|
|
Indian reservations comprise 37 percent of the
land, and are home to Navajo, Hopi, Paiute, Havasupai and
Hualapai tribes. The U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land
Management control 32 percent of the land; the state of Arizona
owns 10 percent; other public lands comprise 7 percent; and the
remaining 14 percent is owned by individuals or corporations.
This would be a great place to retire or get away from the rest
of the world and discover old America. |
